Final reviews for Donatella Cusma’s second-year architecture studio at Cal Poly Pomona bring together a semester of work centered on the future extension of the LA Metro A Line to Claremont.

Students developed the project through three interconnected elements—pavilions, ground, and canopy—exploring program and geometry, circulation and Universal Design, and structural thinking before integrating them into a single architectural proposal. Grounded in the future Claremont station, the studio considers transit infrastructure as public space, engaging questions of accessibility, movement, environmental comfort, and civic life.

Sarah Lorenzen and Alexander Pang coordinate the studio, teaching alongside Donatella Cusma, Mitchell DeJarnett, Justin Doro, Sona Gevorkyan, Rachael McCall, Noam Saragosti, and Javiera Sequeira.
